Artemis Nursery in St Leonards was the first of our private nurseries to open in 2007. Placed near Warrior Square train station, it is is situated within a large Victorian house and has a true family feel to it. As a small nursery, we can accept a maximum of 30 children at any one time, ensuring that each child receives the attention they need to continue to develop.
In order to provide accessible childcare for busy families we also offer free childcare for eligible 2 year olds, 15 hrs per week funding for all 3-5 year olds, and 30 hrs per week funding for all qualifying working parents. Further details of which can be found at childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Your Private Nursery in St Leonards on Sea
Artemis Nursery in St Leonards places the wellbeing of your children first, always ensuring that we are catering directly to their developing minds, personalities, and learning. With this being our smallest nursery, we can guarantee that each child will receive individualised care and interaction to help give them the best start in these crucial early stages of life.
Our small nursery cares for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe, homely environment. We like to think of our St Leonards nursery as a home away from home, where your children can play, learn, and grow in a warm and encouraging environment with supportive nursery practitioners.
We will even conduct a home visit before your child starts with us so that they are acquainted with a familiar face before their first day at nursery and you can watch how they interact with a member of our team.
Attentive Childcare in St Leonards
Every child is a young and budding individual, which is why we tailor our care to suit each child’s unique disposition. We indentify their interests, strengths, and needs so we can adapt our activities to better encourage their development. We’re very proud of our nursery practitioners, who provide the optimum care and dedication to your child. We are attentive, skilled, and qualified, providing engaging teaching and fun play sessions for children and early years. Our staff members are qualified from Childcare level 3 through to degree level, making our team extremely capable and dynamic.
Food & Nutrition
We also offer freshly cooked food, prepared daily on site. Our menus change twice a year to reflect summer and winter, and we have been graded a level 5 in food hygiene. We believe in the importance of teaching your little ones about a healthy, balanced lifestyle and diet, which is why we provide hot meals throughout the week.
Our St Leonards on Sea nursery staff of course work very closely with the parents of the children in our care. We offer ‘stay and play’ sessions for you to get an insight into your child’s day, parents evenings twice a year, and curriculum sessions every term so you are kept up to date and actively involved in how we are supporting your child.
